Ruffles Everywhere

You've seen them everywhere... ruffles. Slowly taking over the world and my closet. With the help of my friend Rachel we conducted some tee shirt surgery last night. We used an old lifeless tee shirt I bought years ago at Charlotte Russe. See the tee shirt in brown below? That is what the black one looked like before we saved it's life. This is the tutorial that inspired it. In addition to ruffles we added some little black cap sleeves in a matching black gauzy fabric. The black fabric I used was cut up from a skirt. I figured i'd save myself some time and recycle clothing that was already hemmed. It worked like a charm!
