What a handsome and delicious cake this was! I found the recipe here. It is not difficult but takes a lot of prep time! I doubled the recipe and split up the work over 2 days, making the filling and cake layers on day one and then assembling and frosting the cake on day two. It was worth the effort just to watch my husband who was beside himself happy because German Chocolate cake is his favorite.
